I assumed that success was supposed to grow like a line graph, a steady climb to a mountain summit. Success is anything but stable and predictable. Embrace the lack of predictability and enjoy the ride.

In my swift 46 years, I been a fashion model -> psychology student -> US Dept of Education employee -> massage therapist -> yoga teacher -> addictions counselor -> PhD university professor -> sailor -> startup consultant -> entrepreneur -> retreat director -> Earthship builder -> farmer I’ve traveled to 40 countries -> driven cross-country 9 times -> lived on a sailboat, in a treehouse, in an Earthship…. You get the idea. I am someone who cannot ignore the impulse to live life to the fullest.
I started out as a fashion model when I was a teenager. I lived in New York City and Europe. My agency repeatedly asked me to lose weight even though I was very thin. I quickly realized that modeling promoted an unhealthy lifestyle and false ideals so I enrolled in college to study Psychology – specifically Body Image and Eating Disorders. While I was in school, I discovered wellness modalities like massage and meditation. I fell in love with these practices and began a journey to learn as much as I could.
